Our approach is designed to equip students to respond confidently to the increasingly complex demands of modern healthcare and critical care. ## Position Overview JKKN College of Allied Health Sciences invites applications for the position of **Assistant Professor – Critical Care Technology**. The position is intended for an academically strong and clinically oriented professional who can connect theoretical concepts with real-world critical care practice. The selected faculty member will contribute to classroom teaching, clinical and simulation training, student mentoring, research, curriculum development, and departmental academic initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of **critical care medicine, intensive care practices, patient monitoring, emergency care, life-support systems, and critical care technologies**, together with an interest in emerging digital and AI-enabled healthcare solutions. ## Key Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality instruction in **Critical Care Technology, intensive care, emergency care, and related allied health subjects**. * Conduct practical, laboratory, simulation, and competency-based learning sessions. * Train students in the safe and appropriate use of critical care equipment and patient-monitoring technologies. * Develop students' understanding of critically ill patient assessment, monitoring, clinical observation, and supportive care practices. * Supervise students during clinical postings, hospital rotations, internships, and other experiential learning activities. * Facilitate case-based learning using real-world and simulated critical care scenarios. * Integrate **AI-powered educational tools, digital clinical resources, simulation technologies, and healthcare informatics** into teaching wherever academically appropriate. * Develop innovative teaching materials, clinical case studies, practical manuals, competency assessments, and digital learning resources. * Mentor students in academic progress, clinical competency, research projects, internships, professional conduct, and career development. * Encourage students to develop strong clinical reasoning, teamwork, communication, patient-safety awareness, and ethical practice. * Conduct and participate in research related to critical care, emergency medicine, patient monitoring, healthcare technology, clinical outcomes, or allied areas. * Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to conferences, seminars, workshops, and professional forums. * Encourage student involvement in research, clinical case presentations, innovation projects, and evidence-based healthcare initiatives. * Establish collaborations with hospitals, intensive care units, clinicians, medical technology companies, and research organizations. * Contribute to curriculum development and periodic revision based on advancements in critical care practice and healthcare technology. * Participate in departmental responsibilities, academic committees, accreditation processes, quality initiatives, and institutional activities. * Promote a culture of **patient safety, ethical practice, continuous learning, and evidence-based critical care**. ## Academic & Professional Qualifications * Master's degree in **Critical Care Technology / Critical Care Technology and Management / a relevant allied health or critical care discipline**, as applicable under prevailing regulatory and institutional norms. * Ph.D. or doctoral qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage. * Relevant academic, clinical, hospital, research, or industry experience will be preferred. * Strong practical knowledge of critical care procedures, patient monitoring, emergency response, and intensive care technologies. * Experience working in or closely with **ICU, emergency department, critical care units, or related clinical environments** will be advantageous. * Strong commitment to teaching, clinical education, research, and student development. * Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and mentoring skills. * Ability to function effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare and academic teams. * Familiarity with AI-enabled healthcare, digital health, simulation-based education, or clinical informatics will be an advantage. ##
