Senior Lecturer

Job Description

The Senior Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of Microbiology. The candidate should be able to deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory classes to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The successful candidate should also have a strong research background with the ability to secure grants and produce high-impact publications.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory classes in Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that foster student engagement and active learning. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their learning and development. Conduct research in the field of Microbiology, secure grants, and produce high-impact publications. Participate in departmental and institutional committees to support the growth and development of the institution. Engage in community outreach activities to promote awareness and understanding of the field of Microbiology.

Qualifications

Post graduate degree(M.D.S)in Microbiology or equivalent qualification Minimum of 5 years of teaching and research experience in Microbiology. Proven track record of securing grants and producing high-impact publications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research.
