Senior Lecturer

Job Description

The Senior Lecturer in the Department of General Medicine will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of general medicine. They will be expected to provide high-quality education to medical students and trainees, participate in academic activities such as curriculum development and assessment, and contribute to research activities within the department.

Responsibilities

Teach and supervise medical students and trainees in the field of general medicine Participate in the development, delivery, and assessment of the department's educational programs Contribute to the research activities of the department, including grant writing, manuscript preparation, and presentations at academic conferences Engage in academic and administrative activities, such as committee work, program coordination, and student advising Participate in community outreach programs and engage with other healthcare professionals to promote the college's vision and mission.

Qualifications

A postgraduate qualification in general medicine, such as a Master's degree or equivalent At least five years of experience teaching and conducting research in the field of general medicine Demonstrated expertise in the areas of medical education and research Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members, students, and healthcare professionals Knowledge of medical software, electronic medical records (EMRs), and digital health technologies. Eligible Fields: General Medicine Internal Medicine Family Medicine Emergency Medicine Geriatric Medicine.
