Associate Professor

Job Description

The Associate Professor in the Department of Botany will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the field of Botany. The candidate is expected to deliver high-quality courses, conduct research, supervise students, and contribute to the development of the department and the college.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Botany, both theoretical and practical, and incorporate the latest advancements in the field. Conduct and supervise research projects in Botany, in collaboration with students, faculty members, and external partners. Mentor and supervise students in their academic, research, and professional development. Contribute to the development of the Department of Botany and participate in the college's academic and administrative committees. Engage with industry partners, develop partnerships and foster collaborations in the field of Botany.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in Botany or a related field. At least 5 years of teaching and research experience in Botany. A track record of high-quality research in the field of Botany, as evidenced by publications in top-tier journals and funding. A proven ability to teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Familiarity with the latest technologies and advancements in the field of Botany.
