Objectives
Sustainable Energy Leaders Workshop (SELW) 2025 aims to create a global network of youth and academic institutions focused on promoting solar energy adoption and sustainability. It seeks to educate and empower participants with the knowledge and skills to assemble and install solar- powered solutions, thereby fostering awareness about renewable
energy technologies and addressing the challenges of energy access, especially in underserved communities.
Key Highlights:
1. Morning Theory Session:
In-depth Learning on Solar Energy: The morning session will focus on the foundational principles of solar energy, including solar power generation, photovoltaic (PV) technology, and the global impact of solar energy on sustainability and climate change. Lectures: Participants will attend lectures by Facilitators in renewable energy, providing insights into the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in solar energy technologies. solar energy adoption with the 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). Interactive Discussions: Q&A segments and panel discussions will allow participants to engage with experts, share their perspectives, and deepen their understanding of solar energy’s role in future energy transitions.
2. Afternoon Hands-on Session:
Solar Kit Assembly: Participants will engage in practical, hands-on experience by assembling solar-powered devices such as solar study lamps or small solar kits, applying the concepts learned in the morning session.Technical Guidance: Trained professionals and instructors will guide participants step-by-
step through the process of assembling and troubleshooting solar kits, providing real-world insights into how solar systems work.Problem-Solving Skills Development: The hands-on session will encourage participants to
troubleshoot technical issues, fostering critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills related to renewable energy technology.
Impact of the Event:
The Sustainable Energy Leaders Workshop (SELW) 2025 will have a significant impact on promoting global solar energy adoption and sustainability. By empowering participants with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills, the workshop will create a new generation of Solar Ambassadors capable of driving change in their communities. The event will increase awareness about renewable energy solutions, specifically solar power, and its critical role in
combating climate change. Participants will gain practical experience in assembling solar kits, which they can use to promote clean energy initiatives in underprivileged or energy-scarce regions. Ultimately, the event will help reduce carbon footprints, encourage energy independence, and accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Outcome of the Event:
Participants will gain a deep understanding of solar power generation and its potential to address energy challenges, particularly in underserved regions. By engaging in hands-on sessions, they will acquire practical experience in assembling solar kits, fostering confidence in applying solar solutions within their communities. This workshop will inspire participants to lead solar
energy initiatives, promote sustainability, and contribute to the global transition to clean energy. Additionally, the event will spark new collaborations between academic institutions, industries, and young professionals, further advancing research and innovation in renewable energy.
